  can i vent? ....

  okay,,, my cat was in a fight last weekend ... new cat on the block,, 2 drs away, territorial stuff .... .

  twice, she saw the vet last week, and has two puncture wounds,,, one near her eye ... .

  she was fine when i took her to see the doc on saturday, but now, her eye is infected again.. .

  Sorry to hear about your kitty's problems.

  We have two cats and we've noticed that one of them gets infections in wounds much easier than the other one. We really have to make sure to clean even the smallest of wounds on that cat or we'll be off to the vet again. Two years in a row we missed an infected wound and the poor guy wound up spending several days at the vet having his wounds treated. The last time this happen we didn't notice the problem right away. When we did notice something we thought he had a few little scratches around his ear and eye that got infected. When we took him to the vet and the vet shaved the area it looked like something tried to bite his head off.

  It sounds like you are on top of the situation so I'm sure she'll get better soon.

  Nov.15th WT - WT Society Wants & Needs Elders- Not very High Standards

  as many of us realize- times are hard for the wt society getting men to " reach out " for an elders or ministerial servants position as young men aged ( 18-35 ) are opting out of doing that due to the pressure they are under from the wt society leaders and just that it takes up too much valuable time where men could be earning a living and helping their own families instead of a thankless magazine printing corporation.

  in the article " train others to reach out " in this issue it has lots of strange, controlling, yet perplexing statements which i'm sure will confuse jw men who are considering " reaching out ".

  in fact, i think this article will discourage more than encourage them from doing so.. on pg.

  What the Watchtower means by "spiritual" could be translated as "an unquestioning stooge".

  Of course it wouldn't cross their mind that if they are having trouble finding men to do their dirty work maybe they should put some of the women in the congregations in positions of leadership.

  in some previous posts i have asked certain questions that still haven't been answered.

  so without going back to those threads and possibly de-railing them i thought it best to make a new topic.

  please bear with me.. i have asked certain ones to prove the existence of god or christ without referencing any biblical writings or characters.

  There isn't any proof that God exits. Then again it would be hard to prove our own exitence and why we are here. If indeed we are here.

  Personally I believe that their is a God and there is a purpose beyond what we have the ability to understand.

  After 50 years of JW indoctrination and having Joe Hoover shoved up my arse I don't care anymore.

  If there is a loving God Punkofnice then I'm sure he/she will understand why you feel the way you do and won't hold it against you. If there is this vengeful god that a lot of people believe in then I think that the worshipers of that god will find that they are also in trouble just like the rest of us.

  i conducted a seminar yesterday for a firm in boston and the conference room is on the top floor.

  i looked out the window...and saw this.

  i'm not sure how they got this past the building inspector...but there is a house atop the building next door....complete with an oriental garden.

  Yes, and this language has to sound pretty familiar to the Germans. When I read the article what came to mind was those Nazi propaganda films where they describe Jews and diseased or vermin. If they ever did get the kingdom they desire to rule over it would wind up looking a lot like Nazi Germany in a pretty short period of time.

  I have no problem with governments looking into the Watchtower's hate speech. It doesn't bother them when the lowly JWs around the world take a beating for their stupid comments and actions but if it effects the boys at the top then that is a different matter. Threaten to take away their tax exempt status and they would change their tune.

  We can be thankful that they are only book publishing cult with a superiorty complex rather than anyone with any real power.

  from my special pioneers friends to stay over a weekend with them in their house .... we ve been friends since forever and they arent aware that im not attending meetings or fading..... i will really miss my friends inside, should i go to their house?.

  No, not if you're serious about fading. It will put you in a postition where you will have to lie to them and pretend to believe in things you no longer believe in. If you really care about these people then I think they deserve your honesty even if they can't take it. If you aren't ready give it to them then I think it is best to avoid them. I know you think these people are your friends but keep in mind they only care for who you are not (I hope that made sense).

  folks, i almost feel silly creating this thread, but i think i must do it based upon comments by folks who think the various governments in the usa can make any legally enforceable laws they want.. they cannot!.

  in the usa we have a republic.

  we do not have a democracy.

  Shelby, I'm wondering if you are thinking of Citizens United ruling which in 2010 declared that not only are corporations persons but that they have constitutional rights such as free speech. That one for good reason got a lot of people very angry.

  Today's Watchtower Lesson Really Bothered Me...

  i was a hair away from telling my wife i never wanted to go to the kingdom hall again after today's watchtower.

  the conductor mentioned something along the lines of..."if you think having to shun your disfellowshipped children is bad...you should read up on the israelites.

  when one of their children was disobedient to the law, they had to take the before the judges so that they could be stoned to death...and guess who's job it was throw the first stone?".

  I think you are reaching your limit Dontplace. I can't imagine having to sit through that crap ever again. Fear and hate is what it is all about. With all the information about them on the internet I think they are starting to feel like a cornered animal and are lashing out.

  How Orwellian is that Lostandconfused? To refer to treating your children as if the are dead as loving isn't at all loving. Obvious to all but those that are brainwashed by a cult.

  I don't remember anything memorable about the beverages at assemblies so they must not have been very impressive.

  I was thinking that an endless supply of Jack and Coke might get me through a day at JW assembly Witness 007....but maybe not.
